    3) Financial Need.

This evaluation includes an interview between the candidates and the Board. The Board shall have the power to choose the number of recipients in any given application period, which (from time to time) may not be a single candidate. If a candidate does not meet the published criteria, the Board may not guarantee consideration of an application.

  • A selected candidate (recipient) shall present a letter of acceptance from the accredited educational institution to the Board. Upon receipt of a tuition invoice from that institution, the recipient shall provide a copy of that invoice to the Treasurer of the Board. The Treasurer shall make payment directly to the referenced institution (in most cases, the Bursar’s office). The payment shall be up to the awarded amount, and in accordance with the payment terms and conditions of the invoice. Should the scholarship award amount be more than the presented invoice, the Treasurer will pay all ensuing invoices from the educational institution until the award balance is depleted. Should the scholarship award be less than any presented invoice, the recipient will be responsible for the remaining invoice balance exceeding that of the award balance
